Haha, i finally got around to making a livejournal page... Well, i'm that rare thing- a romantic gay boy, hehe, seems like there's not too many of us around! I'm big on music, i like indie/hard rock/alt. folk/lo-fi/mellow/loud, and consequently my fave bands are; Smashing Pumpkins, Stephen Malkmus &; Pavement, Jeff Buckley, Placebo, Shellac, Rapeman, Violent Femmes, Bob Dylan, Shannon Wright, REM, Dinosaur Jr, Lou Barlow &; Sebadoh, Jesus &; Mary Chain, Modest Mouse, Suede, Ours, Threnody Ensemble, Leonard Cohen, Butthole Surfers, Rachel's, Bitch Magnet, The Fall, L7, Portishead, Beth Orton, Nina Nastasia, Longpigs, Low, Nick Cave, Mazzy Star, Johnny Cash, PJ Harvey, Hefner, Radiohead, Cat Power, Will Oldham, Sonic Youth, The Delgados, Yo La Tengo, Interpol, Hem, Mogwai, Dirty Three, Sigur Ros, Superchunk, Portastatic, Marianne Faithfull, Patti Smith, Pixies, Mclusky...I go to uni at Brunel in London, studying English [with a bit of creative writing and film studies for good measure!] As you might have guessed i really like reading!- my favourite authors are William Burroughs, Jean Genet, Italo Calvino, Virginia Woolf, Arthur Rimbaud, Sarah Kane, Charles Bukowski, August Strindberg, Emily Bronte, Antonin Artaud, William Blake for example, hehe, long lists- sorry! I also love live music, going out with friends, laughing. Laughter is so important! I like theme parks with big rollercoasters! I also like movies a lot, indie films like those from Claire Denis, Hal Hartley, Derek Jarman, Vincent Gallo- and all sorts of other random ones- i also like a good horror movie, especially alien/friday 13th/nightmare on elm street series'! A bit of a gory frightfest always goes down well ;) I also like to write my own stuff, poetry and prose. And finally i'm really into 80's kids' tv- knightmare, thundercats, gummi bears, mysterious cities of gold and stuff like that!
